Graphic artist Axel Adam has a cheerful disposition despite his constant shortage of cash. But now the editor of the girlie magazine "Play Me" is threatening to stop the comic strip "When the old Bavarians still had tails" which Axel has been drawing for the paper for years. Axel's idea for saving his cartoon is to leave a copy of the sex magazine portraying the lecherous Neandertal caricatures in a telephone booth while taking candid camera shots of the reactions of people wanting to use the phone and happening upon the magazine. However, the plan
to prove the effectiveness of Axel's drawings in this way, has rather unexpected results.
