Eva sick and tired of her job in a variety show, dreams of a future free from cares. It looks as if her dreams come true, when she inherits a hotel on the shores of the Wolfgangsee. Together with her friend Maxie, they set out to take over the "Palace". Arriving when it’s raining cats and dogs, they are standing in front of a neglected property, encumbered with debts. With the unexpected help of a group of female campers and Gustl, bandleader at the competititve White Horse Inn, they change the place into a successful pop hotel – the Black Horse Inn. Soon Eva falls in love – unsuspecting that Dr. Martin Behrend is the nephew of the proprietress of the White Horse Inn.
